- Small-scale jobs have converted to large-scale jobs. Positions that are available in Hanoi are: Teaching, Builder, Electrician, Plumber, Scuba diver instructor, Taxi driver, Scuba diver in structure, Tour agent, Chef, Waitress, Cleaner and many more.
- Pharmaceutical and health care increase. In January 2012 the largest international hospital was built, costing $100 million.

- Telecommunications have been installed.

- Automobiles: cars, motorbikes, buses, trains and trams.
HISTORICAL:
- First became a Capital City in 1010 when the Emperor, Ly Thai, moved to the south-west Red River.
- Hanoi translated into English becomes 'The City in the Bend of the River'.
- French colonial period from 1887 - 1954 increased the population level and introduced Western culture, such as: spacious villas.
- In 1940 during WWII it was occupied by the Japanese. It wasn't until 1945 were they successfully removed by the Viet Minh (Vietnamese Revolutionary Group).
- In 1946 the French returned and reoccupied the city. They wanted the place to become the Capital of North Vietnam.
- In 1954 Hanoi was finally declared as the Capital of an Independent North Vietnam.
